The proposed soda ban in NYC is absolutely ridiculous! Leave it to a blowhard like Mayor Michael Bloomberg to hold a press conference announcing a proposed ban on super-sized sodas in his city the day before publicly reading a proclamation in honor of National Doughnut Day. And of course, the people at the Centers for Science in the Public Interest (the same people who published reports encouraging restaurants that trans fats were okay and then twenty years later fail at backpeddling on that) are in full support of this. New York City used to be a beacon of freedom. Now it’s just a joke!
